As a survivor of child abuse and gender based violence, at one point I felt my safety was jeopardized so I went to YWCA Woodlawn for help. While being there, I walked south to Rosedale and found an apartment for rent, where I was sharing a house with a group of women. By living with them discreetly, I had shielded myself from my perpetrator. At Rosedale, the most affluent neighbourhood in Canada, I discovered that there are many concerned people offering helps to those in danger and disadvantage. I immediately joint in and found my true calling in life - nonprofit work to help Youths at Risk.
Many of the Youths at Risk, experience domestic violence and run away. I did not run away, only because the police officer attended my emergency call as a child, advised me that it was very rough out there. I contacted the orphanage but they said I would not be admitted as my parents were with me. The only solution I had, was to quietly read books to avoid being beaten up as much as possible. I supposed that was why I had read so many medical books, at a young age, which has served me well today. Daily, the pain in my body reminds me of the constant beating and kicking. It left many scars inside of my joints and I went through years of medical treatments to cope. All in all, my sound decisions has prevented me from becoming disabled.
Therefore, I must help others in similar situations. I believe in hope and my chance of fully recovered from joint damage.
I love helping people in all aspects of life. In my professional life, I help individuals accomplish their goals in long term investment success and passing on the generated wealth to next generations, as well as charitable causes, to make the society a better place. I spent 20 years of my professional life in debt and equity investment of real estate as well as tech. I have built a portfolio of substantial size and am always ready to share my opinions and expertise.
However, what's the most important in life is, spreading the good deeds. That's why I have started Streetwise Service in Toronto again. We want to bring kindness into our society and help to shape our future generation to have better future.
